The Nickel-plated chrome bars are round steel bars with nickel and chromium surface coating. Combining the two layers provides excellent corrosion protection making them ideal for use in aggressive environments.

The surface layer of nickel, combined with the chromium plating, allows:
• High corrosion resistance, even in aggressive environments such as marine and chemical
• Excellent surface hardness thanks to the chrome layer
• Long life and wear resistance
These bars are widely used in applications that require components that can withstand particularly harsh environmental and operating conditions, such as in the automotive industry, The European Commission has published a report on the Fifth Framework Programme for Research and Development.
The standard size range is from Ø20 mm to Ø180 mm, with quality steel 20MnV6. The minimum thickness of the coatings is 30 μm for nickel and 20 μm for chromium.
